More than 8000 Bitcoin ATMs now installed worldwide

Written by  Jun 17, 2020

There are now 8000 bitcoin ATMs have been installed on a global scale.

According to CoinATMRadar, there are more than 8200 ATMs in over 73 countries worldwide that allow people to buy and sell bitcoin and other alternative Cryptocurrencies for cash. More than 6000 of these 8200 are based in the United States of America.

Holders of cryptocurrency will be able to purchase and withdraw BCH, ETH, DASH, XRP, and of course BTC.

The number of bitcoin ATMs has risen since March by 17% taking it over the 8000 mark. Even though there was a significant round of growth in the United States, data from CoinATMRadar highlighted the number of ATMs in Switzerland, Austria, and the United Kingdom decreased this year.

With everything going on in the world right now with COVID-19 and demonstrations fighting for the black lives matter movement, this is a little light at the end of the tunnel for many crypto investors. This may be a sign of things to come as more ATMs get installed in the future leading to further adoption of the crypto and the blockchain industry.
